Good water pressure, and everything was clean and functional. Free wifi with minimal hassle. A short walk to Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts (but little else).
Poor bathroom ventilation, stuffy without the fan/AC but annoyingly drafty with it on. Not conveniently located. A shuttle is available, but it costs extra and you have to wait a long time for it. Walking is just as quick, and a taxi is much faster (and with two people, the same price as the shuttle).
The check in staff were wonderful. One in particular and I should have gotten her name. She helped us get early check in after a long 15 hour drive from North Carolina. She was friendly and showed some compassion. I loved her.
Easy to find, reception friendly and helpful, breakfast good and good value, room fine.
Parking was exhorbitantly expensive. The elevators were jerky and seemed to take a long time, although I understand there is a planned replacement program starting soon.
Rooms are very clean, and the staff is great.
The Shuttle service. It's $5/ day per person which is fine if it took us to fenway or oceanaire. Someone from the front desk advised it would take us to the Dolphin restaurant. So we tried it the first night we stayed. It was probably one of the worst dining experiences we had. I would not recommend eating there.
The proximity to bu where we were dropping our daughter off for the school year, along with the excellent service from the staff.
The beds were not comfortable and the air conditioner was set to blow directly over our bed, instead of up into the room itself. The price through Booked.net was good, but if we had paid regular price, I wouldn't have been pleased.
The location on the river is great, my room had a nice view and was a good size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast in the room left something to be desired !

The staff was cool at best, seemed annoyed by any questions, bored, apathetic. The room smelled disgusting with mold or mildew, stale, musty, yucky. Had to keep window open for fresh air, and even then it was overwhelming.
The concierge was very accomodating and upgraded our room to a river view. The room was lovely.
The location was helpful and the van service to Harvard Square was very nice.
No complaints, on the hotel, staff was very nice and helpful. I realize it was The Head of the Charles Race, but really, almost doubling the price of the hotel for the weekend is price gouging! I know everyone does it, but will I stay there next year or tell someone to stay there? No. Hard to justify that kind of money for the Marriott.

Lifts slow (apparently about to be upgraded). expensive - but this was at peak time
convenient. fairly pricey for parking lot. staff was excellent. gym could use one more eliptical and one less treadmill

They charge extra $$ to park your car at the hotel.
Elevators were not working properly. When I informed front desk on check- in that my husband could not climb stairs,she still placed us on the 11th floor. We had to walk down 11 flights at one point. My husband was stuck in the lobby for over an our while awaiting an elevator technition. Our room was comped for the inconvenience. We were assured that all renovations would be completed by 3/2013

Tv remote hard to use, had to push very hard to change channels etc, and sometimes channel seem to auto revert back to their advertisement channel
